In 1988, the Sisters of the Humility of Mary made the decision to share their home and land with individuals who desired a lifestyle that would provide a blend of independence, quality and companionship. On the western side of their spacious campus in Villa Maria, PA the sisters constructed the Villa Maria Apartments, 40 one and two-bedroom suites designed for the comfort of older adults. Open to adults 62 and over, those still working or looking to downsize may consider the freedom that comes with life at the Villa.  These apartments are ideal for retirees and seniors seeking a quality of life nurturing the mind, body and spirit, without the tasks of homeownership. 

As part of the Villa Maria Community Center, the Motherhouse of the Sisters of the Humility of Mary, the Villa residences are located on nearly 760 stunning acres of farmland, gardens and woods. Residences share this pastoral setting with the Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center that offers spiritual retreats and programs to children and adults from throughout the region.
